Africa changed the course of my life more than two decades ago. What began as a safari sparked a fascination with the continent that has never left me. The wildlife first captured my attention, but it was Africa itself that captured my heart. I returned again and again, drawn not only to its extraordinary wildlife, but to its people, cultures, and wild places. Photography became my passport, opening doors to remote regions, ancient traditions, and experiences far beyond the reach of most travelers.
Over the years, my life has been divided between Africa and the United States, giving me a unique appreciation for both the expectations travelers bring with them and the realities of exploring one of the world’s most diverse continents. Living in Africa, I came to understand that its true magic is not found in a checklist of wildlife sightings or luxury accommodations, but in the depth of its experiences, the character of its people, and the countless unexpected moments that leave a lasting impression.
